Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin is Parisian based luxury brand founded 1991. They sell handbags and luxury shoes for women. Louboutin shoes are instantly recognizable by their trademark bright red sole. Christian Louboutin targets independent women, many whom desire that princess life quality. Louboutin first entered China in a joint venture with the Pedder group. In 2007, they opened their first store in Hong Kong. In China, their primary method of communication is local social networks such as Sina Weibo and Youku. Louboutin builds stores in luxurious malls, throughout China, focused on creating a luxury experience for the client.

 

Jimmy Choo

Founded in 1996, Jimmy Choo belongs to the JAB luxury group and is currently present in 79 countries, on 5 continents. They cater to both men and women, with a varied product range from luxurious shoes to fragrances. Jimmy Choo entered China in 2004 with a business partner Kutu, before taking full control in 2009. They have stores in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing, with expansion plans to launch 30 more stores in the future. Jimmy Choo targets upper class, successful individuals with trendy styles.

 

Miu Miu

Miu Miu is a subsidiary of the Prada SpA group, founded in 1993 by Miuccia Prada. In 2009, Miu Miu opened its first Chinese store in Shenzhen and by 2012 had extended its reach to Beijing. The brand is now available in more than 20 countries. Miu Mui targets young, international and sophisticated women, using a broad range of social media and focusing on the use of symbols and icons to create strong brand loyalty. In comparison to Prada, Miu Miu is less sophisticated and edgier - targeting a young market.

 

Prada

Originating from Milan, Italy, in 1913, Prada is one of the most successful and well-known brands in the modern luxury era. Prada signifies creativity and class, with stores in 70 countries and 551 directly operated stores. Prada consumers are innovation seekers, who are trendy and have an extravagant sense of fashion. They offer a diversified product range for both men and women including ready to wear clothes, shoes, bags and perfumes. Prada originally entered China in 2011 and has grown extensively ever since.
